Chewbacca in the lingering heat of summer ２００３



Dear Chewbacca

Though it is an exceptionally cool summer in Tokyo this year,
it is much hotter than in the burrow of your native land, isn't it?

It must be hard for you to survive the hot summer
because you wombats don't have the ability to regulate your body temperature.

I can't help saying "thank you, Chewbacca" as you've gotten over
hot and humid summers in Tokyo 17 or 18 times.





It was hot again today.
I have been lying under the big oak tree for a long time
as I felt somewhat sleepy.

Mind you,
I didn't sleep deeply but I sometimes turned to the right and the left
and I sometimes faced the front, so I have felt the weight of your eyes.
