Chewbacca in the early afternoon

There were still a few cherry blossoms in Tama Zoo at the beginning of April.
I was worried that a part of his breakfast was left when I arrived.
However, after getting up, he moved at his own pace as usual.
He seemed to wake up earlier than usual

Today's breakfast 1:30p.m.
(half eaten fresh grass)

I say "Hi"from behind the tree.

Pose as raising front foot

Now I start to walk

Close in, anyone who would like to photograph me!

Chewbacca appeared on the "stage"

I'm waiting in the wings.

It's Chewbacca's turn next.
This stage is a little up there.
Yo-ho!

Is he going to show 'trick of the handle'?

Look at my back foot! I'm toeing in.

Up to now, he didn't do any tricks.
As for Chewbacca, yawning on the stage is
more than welcome!
He shows a stage face as if
not to have yawned.

Taking

a curtain call

I came on stage in order to fulfill expectations.

How is this side?
He began to groom.

Oh, my gosh!
My hair is in a mess here, too.

Chewbacca, do you actually feel ithcy, don't you?
Are you scratching the inside of your ear?
I wonder if earth was in your ear.

He didin't go back to the wing of the stage
but came down from the front.

Unfortunatelly, it is impossible for you
to come to the audience because
you are separated by a glass screen.

It's time for digging

right, right, right........ left, left, left.....

After digging with right forefoot again......He made a pose.

Between a swinging log and an oak tree

Chewbacca seemed to bite and strip the bark off this swinging log
little by little for these two months and finally he has stripped it completely.

He must have eaten some of the bark.
He was biting and chewing one or two pieces of the bark which he peeled off this day.

Wait and Wait

I got tired of waiting.
I hope the keeper will call for me soon and say,
"Chewbacca, it's time for you to go back into your house".

Do you think that I have been on my good behavior here?
Of course not.

I have already appealed to them to let me enter the house
by peeping into the house, and scratching and biting the door.

Chewbacca going on a cherry view picnic 2003

I was taken to the Meguro River, Tokyo, which is one of the most beautiful spots
for cherry blossom viewing.

If there were more water, I could swim in the river!
We wombats are good swimmers.
